Job Purpose

Provides undergraduate and graduate instruction to support the programs offered by the Department of Accounting. Provides research relevant to practice and the academy to support accreditation, and provides service to the university and community.

Essential Functions

Instruction in the undergraduate Accounting, MBA, Distance MBA, and MACC programs. Development of an ongoing research program resulting in publication in peer-reviewed journals. Involvement in professional and university service activities.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctoral degree in Accounting or accounting-related field from an AACSB accredited institution. ABD nearing completion will also be considered. Excellent communication skills. Interest in publishing in peer-reviewed journals. Ability to teach both on-campus and online accounting courses.

Preferred Qualifications

CPA certification or other relevant professional certification. Relevant professional experience. Specific areas of strategic need are Audit, Technology, and Financial Accounting.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Commensurate with education and experience. Full-time, nine-month, tenure-track position to begin August 1, 2018.
Benefits Information

Benefits include the accumulation of one (1) sick leave day per month and thirteen (13) University holidays. Other benefits include medical and life insurance (shared cost with the university), retirement, optional 401k, and educational benefits. Deferred income and benefits over 12 months.
