Job Purpose

Process and evaluate admissions applications pertaining to eligibility of undergraduate students for admission to the University, while providing quality customer service to students, parents, faculty and staff at TTU as well as with high schools and other Universities.

Essential Functions

Use university admission policies and standards to process and evaluate completed applications for admission to the university, and determine if students meet program-specific admission requirements. Use university residency policy to determine residency for each applicant or determine if more documentation is needed. Scan and index official documents to student file. Process requests for readmission and academic fresh start. Verify EVEA status of each applicant. Load courses from college transcripts. Monitor emails in the general admissions email account. Answer questions via phone and email in order to serve as a resource for students, parents, campus departments, high schools and other feeder institutions regarding admissions to the university. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Two years of experience in a responsible clerical position with significant public contact. Significant experience in word processing and creating spreadsheets for the manipulation of large sets of data. Good knowledge and use of standard English, grammar, and arithmetic. Ability to communicate effectively with university personnel, students, and off-campus contacts.

Preferred Qualifications

Associates degree (or 60 credit hours) in technology or computer related field. Experience using relational database and/or CRM. Experience with Banner or other higher education SIS.

Work Hours

Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Commensurate with education and experience; Clerical & Support Skill Level 5.
