Job Purpose

Teach undergraduate and graduate nursing courses.

Essential Functions

Teaching in the classroom and the clinical setting, at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Providing student advisement as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution. Current, unencumbered TN RN license or the ability to obtain a TN RN license. Recent experience in any of the following areas of nursing: Mental Health, Pediatrics or Medical Surgical.

Preferred Qualifications

Doctorate in nursing from an accredited institution. Previous university level teaching in classroom and/or clinical setting. Ability to work with clinical coordination.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Commensurate with education and experience. This is a one-year, temporary, non-tenure-track appointment to begin August 1, 2018, and renewable based on satisfactory annual reviews, the needs of the department, and future funding.
