Job Purpose

Teach undergraduate and graduate nursing courses.

Essential Functions

Teaching in the classroom and the clinical setting, at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Providing student advisement as assigned, and contributing to school service.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution. Current, unencumbered TN RN license or the ability to obtain a TN RN license. Recent clinical experience in any of the following areas of nursing: Medical Surgical, Mental Health, or Pediatrics.

Preferred Qualifications

Doctorate in nursing from an accredited institution. Previous university level teaching in the classroom and clinical setting.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Commensurate with education and experience. Full-time, nine-month, non-tenure-track position to begin August 1, 2018. Three-year contract renewable based on satisfactory performance review.
